Here’s some more basic guidelines that you’ll build on in the guide:

1. Graffiti letters usually overlap each other to some degree

2. Graffiti letters are drawn in a 3D effect

To get started you simply print off the stencils provided then use a fine marker to trace round the letter outlines. 

Next, to get the 3D or embossed effect, use a different colour to shade the area around the inside of the letters you’ve just outlined.

The third step, once you’ve completed the shading effect, is to colour in the remainder of the letters with another brightly coloured marker. 

Finally add a drop shadow for maximum effect to your graffiti by colouring in a light coloured shadow below the characters.
